Q: When do you start taking Photos with Santa?

A: We take Santa photos by appointment year round! Early appointments give you more visit time with Santa. By December, appointments are every 10 minutes for visit, pictures, selection and printing. It's a fast pace but necessary during the busiest time of year. Come early and enjoy it more!

Q: Is there an age limit?

A: No! Our youngest visitor was three days old. Our oldest was 94 years old.
Newborns are special and will be given a before store hours appointment.

Q: Is there a sitting fee?

A: If you purchase a picture from the selection we take we do not charge a sitting fee. If you do not purchase pictures, there is a $15 sitting fee.

Q: Is the sitting fee for each child?

A: No. The sitting fee is for the appointment time slot. It is only charged if you do not purchase a picture.

Q: What if my child is crying and will not go to Santa?

A: We have several options. We have a mother's (father's) chair. We will let you hold your child and zoom past you and do an angle shot of your child with Santa. We have some amazing results with this technique. Another option is to plan a family portrait. Another option is to take a quick picture with the child crying. Sometimes these are the most memorable of all the pictures.

IF YOUR CHILD IS HYSTERICAL PLEASE DO NOT FORCE THE PICTURE. If this might be a possibility, start early in the year with casual visits to the store so your child might see Santa in situations other than picture taking. IF YOU CALL AHEAD SANTA WILL BE AVAILABLE.

WE ALSO HAVE STORYTIME ON TUES. NIGHTS (7:00 SHARP) in November and December. This is an opportunity to see Santa interacting with other children.

DON'T use Santa as a threat for good behavior.

DON'T say to your child that he/she shouldn't be afraid of Santa. He/She may not have thought of that as a possibility.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of people in a photo?

A: Our limit is only how many people you can stack in our photo area. We try to have fun! Bring in the family and friends! We hope you all buy the picture.

Q: What about pets? I want to have a family pet photo with Santa.

A: We have children in the store and have to take into account that they can make an animal nervous. From Thanksgiving to Christmas, we must limit the size and times of Photos with pets. We must know you are bringing a pet in advance. Pet must remain outside until you are called for the photo. Animal must leave promptly after the photo, so bring a helper for each animal. Large animals are hard to accommodate.

Q: Ten minutes is a short time. What if I bring a friend or want more than one pose, or individual pictures of my kids with Santa?

A: When you make your appointment please let us know if you need multiple poses. We need separate appointments for each pose within your group. We ask that you buy from each appointment as well. We are flexible, but in December we want to be sure the appointments run smoothly.

Q: What if I don't like any of the poses?

A: During the December rush, we cannot take unlimited photos! If you were at the mall your selection would be limited even more than with us. We ask that you remember the waiting children. If you need more selection we ask that you come before Thanksgiving for more time. A sitting fee of $15 is charged if you do not purchase pictures.

Q: May I take pictures with my own camera?

A: Other photo studios do not allow this practice. We have been very generous in past years with this issue. You may use your video camera to record the session. Due to space and time constraints we can no longer allow you to take still pictures with your camera.

Q: May I get cheaper copies made at another location?

A: We frown on this abuse of our copyright. If you need a great number of copies at a cheaper cost we have cards or other processing available with a reasonable turnaround time (2-5 days)

Q: May I use my video camera?

A: We allow video of the visit with Santa while we take pictures. We do ask that you purchase still pictures. The sitting fee will be charged if you are not purchasing pictures.

WE HAVE A SPECIAL VIDEO OPTION.
Santa will decorate an ornament with your child or children while you video them with your camera. This is a separate activity from the photos and is done before mid December on specific days of the week. The fee is $20. We ask that you specify when you make this kind of appointment that it is for time in Santa's workshop. It is not necessary for you to do still photos for this option, but if you want still photos as well as the video you must make two appointments together to allow enough time. Just let us know when you call for the appointment.

Trees

Q: Do you have Christmas Trees?

A: We have small trees (under 2 feet) available in the store. Larger trees can be shipped directly to you.

Q: Do you have a tree or house decorating service?

A: No.
