Organic Chemistry is basically the chemistry of carbon compounds. Inorganic Chemistry is "everything else." In common usage, if organic is not specified inorganic is assumed, therfore specific use of the word inorganic usually refers to Inorganic Chemistry of Carbon -- or introductory material, where the complexities of carbon bonding are deliberately excluded. Amazon's category "Organic & Inorganic" is silly.
