Information Systems, broadly speaking include any organized sets of procedures for collecting, storing, retrievin, and using information. In current usage, this generally implies computerized systems. As they are often applied in business, the term Management Information Systems is often used more or less interchangeably, and may imply an end-user orientation rather than a more technical approach to computing.
