Evolution has come a long way since Darwin's time, and the assertion that it is "only" a theory displays an absolute ignorance of the scientific method and the precise meaning of "theory" in that context. The Scopes trial notwithstanding, there is no "controversy" surrounding this subject, only conservative religious fundamentalists demanding simple answers to complex questions.
