Churches were granted the tax-free priveledges of charitable non-profit organizations long ago. Those that wish to become political action committees instead should file the proper paperwork to reflect their changed legal status. Promoting a particular political agenda is not the proper role of the church, and church intervention in politics is no more acceptable than government-established religion. Furthermore, this section belongs under "Politics".
