Recommended Ain't Nobody's Business if You Do: The Absurdity of Consensual Crimes in a Free Society You can't legislate morality, but that doesn't stop some people from trying. The author was charged with drug trafficking by federal dope crusaders because he was growing small amounts of pot in compliance with Californa's medical marijuana law. While submitting to weekly urine testing as a condition of his probation, McWilliams choked to death on his own vomit. His Prelude Press was seized and shut down, effectively silencing this dissenter against the war on nonconformity. Lost Rights : The Destruction of American LibertyI would describe Bovard as a conservative libertarian -- one of those who believes that free market economics would sort everything out if government intervention were drastically reduced. Accordingly, he focusses on some "lost rights" that many would argue never were rights at all. Nonetheless, this is an interesting book by a prolific author widely read in some circles. | ||||||
