Maybe I'll write a page on introductory computer programming "soon". This certainly isn't it!!
Look for something about programming logic and flowcharting if you really are starting out. Then realize that you will need to work with whatever language you choose to start with a lot before you'll be ready to juggle the syntax of two or more languages. Therefore, you should try to find out which languages are best suited for which tasks, and choose one accordingly. Don't just assume "BASIC" would be good. (It's an acronym.)
