Patti McNeely, Executive Director: Over 15 years ago, Patti McNeely, ACAR's Founder and Executive Director, turned her back on two decades of living in addiction. Passionately determined to help others trapped in alcoholism or drug abuse, she entered college and in 1993 earned her degree in therapy from the University of Memphis. Since then she has worked non-stop, sharing her vision of help, hope, and recovery, with those in need. Patti is a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Abuse Counselor (LADAC), National Certified Addiction Counselor (NCAC), and Certified Criminal Justice Specialist (CCJS). She was awarded the "2002 Alumni Achievement Award" of University College, Univ. of Memphis, and "1999 Professional of the Year" by the West Tennessee chapter of the Tennessee Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors.
