What Can I Do?

FIRST:  If you, your child, a family member, or a member of you workforce is currently struggling with alcohol or drugs or related anti-social behavior problems, please call (901) 527-3100 for information and an appointment.  Your inquiry is confidential.

SECOND:  You have only to turn on the television, open the newspaper, or look next door to know how widespread the problems of teenage drinking, drug experimentation, and chemical dependency have become.  From Collierville to Frayser, from Cordova to Orange Mound, from private academies to urban schools, our young people face the temptations of drugs and alcohol every day - and far too many are making youthful, irresponsible, and even deadly choices.  Think of all the harm and horror YOU can prevent by helping ACAR to help just one more teenager choose NOT to drink and drive.  Yes, one person CAN make a difference!

Whether it's $5 for pens and paper, $5,000 for a computerized "presentation" system, or something in between, your tax-deductible donations will help ACAR reach out to young people, families, and other individuals in need.  Contributions may be mailed to the Center, or you may call (901) 527-3100 to donate by credit card.

Also vital to ACAR's outreach are contributions of goods, services, and volunteer hours.  Whether it's dropping by the Center to donate a bundle of paper towels or a new computer, your gift will help.  Whether it's answering a phone two hours a week or wielding a paint brush on a Saturday afternoon, your time will help.  Especially important are the significant donations of service on ACAR's volunteer Board of Directors and its committees.
