Dear Bob...

After many long and trying months of working as an Assistant Bureaucrat at the Hero Registration Desk at Paragon City Hall, Paula was past due for some much-deserved rest.  Bob, her supervisor, suggested she take a couple weeks off, since as a city employee she had a great deal of vacation time that needed to be used.  "Why don't you take a cruise?" he asked, "My cousin Larry went on a cruise once with his wife, and he said it was the best vacation they ever took.  There's plenty of free food, entertainment, and the gentle waves will rock you to sleep every night!"

Paula had never been on a cruise, but she'd heard the dining areas were usually crowded (and the food not to her tastes), the entertainment was usually noisy (and also, not to her tastes), and the ships tended to be too big for any real motion at all, unless there was serious trouble (which was VERY much not to her tastes).  Still, if Bob was willing to set things up for her, using the steep travel discounts offered to City Hall, she was willing to take a chance.

It wasn't long before she came to regret it...
