Perils of Paula is a comic that was maintained by the IC and OOC writer of the Knowledge is Power tips that were featured in the City of Heroes comic community pages. Enjoy! In Paragon City, the City of Heroes, every citizen sleeps better at night knowing that the crusaders of goodness are fighting the endless battle against the doers of badness. Whenever a student is getting her purse snatched, a hero is there to help save her bus pass. Whenever an accountant is being threatened by a stitched-together deader with gastro-intestinal difficulties, a hero is there to keep both his feet out of the grave. And whenever one set of bad guys is threatening to pummel another set of jerks, heroes will still pitch in and help them out -- that's just how heroic they are. But what of the unsung heroes? What of the janitors, the pencil-pushers, the super-organized lubricant that keeps the great gears of Paragon City turning, making the lights stay on and the trams run on time? What perils must they face in their own day-to-day fight against the evils of red tape and scheduling woes? To find out, follow the exploits of Paula, a young Assistant Bureaucrat in the Paragon City division of SERVE: Support, Education and Resources for Vigilante Excellence! |
