Nashville Backgammon Club - Tournament Schedule
There is both a $10.00 and
$5.00 tournament and they run concurrently. A player may enter the $5.00
tournament for free, but they do not
get tournament money. A free player does get club
points and attendance 3 point matches
.05 master points (Blitzes, Consolation and Semi Annual Round Robins) 5 point matches
.10 master points 7 point matches
.15 master points (Double Master Points on the
first tournament of the month) Winner of the tournament get
.10 times the number in the field Runner Up of the tournament
gets .05 times the number in the field A player may enter both the
$5.00 and $10.00 tournaments The payout for the $10.00
tournament is: 90% to first place, 5% to club, 5% to Consolation Pool The optional side pool is
$20.00: 100% payout to the player in the side pool that finishes the furthest in
the tournament. A player can buy back into
the first round once for $10.00 and re-qualifies for the Consolation Tournament A player can buy back into
the second round for $20.00 if there are an odd number of second round players. A loss in the first round
automatically qualifies the player for the Consolation Tournament 5 point matches 7 point final match The payout for the $5.00
tournament is: 60% winner, 30% second place, 5% Consolation Pool, 5%
to the club The optional side pool is
$10.00: 100% payout to the player in the side pool that finishes the furthest in
the tournament. A player can buy back into
the first round once for $5.00 and re-qualifies for the Consolation Tournament A player can buy back into
the second round for $10.00 if there is an odd number of second round players. A loss in the first round
automatically qualifies the player for the Consolation Tournament. 5 point matches 7 point final match Any first round loss or bye
automatically qualifies a player for the Consolation Tournament. The winner of the $5.00 and
$10.00 Consolation will play each other for the 10% of the tournament money
collected. 3 point matches 5 point final bracket
matches Semi
Annual Attendance Round Robins Every six months, a special
tournament will be held for all members that attended at least 8 weekly
tournaments during the previous 6 months. The entry to that tournament
will be free to those members The payout will be 80% of
the club rake from that previous 6 month period. Winner 75% Runner Up 25% Side pool $5.00
100% payout to the player that goes the furthest in the Tournament Round Robin format Total points wins 3 point matches 5 point final match The tournament will not be
held on a regular tournament night. Likely a Mon or Wed night. If players are out of the
Tournament but organize their own 4 person Blitz during or after the
tournaments, those points will count towards master points The players can decide if
they want to play for $ or not. 3 point matches 5 point final match If you bring a new player to
the Tournaments and they enter one or both of the $5 or $10 Tournaments, YOU
will receive a free entry into the same tournaments they enter into! |
