This weekend Keith and Jenny met Rusty for the first time. The picture on the right is our beautiful, young niece, Ruth, who spent the afternoon with us. It took a while for Rusty to warm up to Keith and Ruth but his love of being petted far outweighs any distrust of strangers.
As you can see from the picture on the lower right, Rusty is very regal as he surveys his domain. He loves the outdoors. He uses the doggie door to go in and out of the house and he runs the length and breadth of the yard, chasing the occasional foolish squirrel who happens to cross his path and barking at neighbors and passers-by. With his deep resonant bark he can be oh so obnoxious!
