     Tamar Moffitt was born circa 1740. She married Lt. Jonathan Hascall, son of Squire Hascall and Elizabeth Chandler or Russell, on 8 June 1758 at Thompson, CT. Tamar Moffitt died on 28 August 1765; in her 30th year. She was buried after 28 August 1765 at Thompson, CT; "Tamar's graveston has also been read that she died in her 50th year, which if correct would make it more likely that this Jonathan's uncle of the same name was her husband. However, the land records of Killingly indicate that only oneJonathan Hascall was resident there at this period, having conveyances from 1759 to 1772 rrelating to land in the north part of Killingly. We think, therefore, that only one Jonathan is involved in the above marriages, and that Tamar died in her 30th year, which makes her born about 1736. She has not been identified.1
