Worden was born on 18 August 1841 at Milan Twp, Dutchess Co., NY; Renselaer had to show an old family bible dated pre-1850 to prove his birth in his Pension Application. His death certificate shows date of death as December 16, 1924, age: 80 years, 3 mos., 28 days which calculates to a birth date of 19 Aug 1844. One family record (from Gladys Borden Chapman's daughter, Helen Robinson) shows his birth date as 1841. He lived in Hyde Park on 21 Sep 1914.

Evina Schryver, on 3 September 1866 at Rhinebeck, Dutchess Co., NY; at Newell LaBonte house, Fishing Ground; witnesses were Newell, Eve, Joseph & Mary R. LaBonte. Minerva and her brother James were married together on the same day.

6 Renselaer Case Worden died on 16 December 1924 at Rhinebeck, Dutchess Co., NY, at age 83; Some records show his death took place in Hyde Park.
7 He was buried after 16 December 1924 at Rhinebeck Cemetery, Rhinebeck, Dutchess Co., NY; Lot 310, Section B. Also buried in this lot are two of his wives, including Minerva LaBonte Worden and her parents.
Renselaer Case Worden was employed as embalmer/undertaker. He operated the first mortician service in Hyde Park; his son, Ralph continued the business after his death. Renselaer Worden enlisted in Stanford, NY, and was honorably discharged at Washington, DC. He served in the following battles:

Renselaer served under Capt. William T. Van Kuren in the 150th Regt. commanded by John H. Ketchum. He was discharged at the end of the war.
8 On June 1, 1923, Renselaer suffered a stroke affecting both sides of his body. He also suffered a growth in his bladder. His death was caused by a cerebral hemmorhage and cancer.
