This photo was taken on the occasion of Mrs. Selma Hughes’ 93rd birthday. Her great-granddaughter walked over and
placed her hand on top of Mrs. Hughes’s hand and her great-grandson, Alex
Hughes, took the photo. Mrs. Hughes
always felt her membership in the DAR was her legacy that she was passing down
to future generations. Mrs. Hughes
passed away
