Wondering if anyone has access to wills in Cannon Co. My
great-grandfather, Robert Wilson Patterson, was living in Cannon
County in the 1850 census. He will killed (apparently while cutting
timber) in September 1867. I assume they were still living in Cannon
County at his death. I would like to know if he left a will or if
there was a guardian appointed for his infant children. His wife was
Louisa and they had 8 children, the youngest only two when he died. I
appreciate any help with this.

I have some very old pictures of Gassaway and people who lived there.
I have deep roots in Cannon County and I have many old pictures of people that
are labeled who to my knowledge aren't even related to me. One
example is Dr. Henry McGhee who was a doctor from Gassaway. I would
love to find people who might be interested in copies of these
pictures. I am an avid genealogist and I understand the value of
these pictures. It is my sole intent to SHARE these photos, NOT sell
them. Some of the surnames on these photos are, GRIZZLE, SADDLER,
MELTON, STONE, SMITHSON, BASS, ESTES, WOMACK, CATHCART, McGHEE,
TASSEY, POWELL, HOLLANDSWORTH, YEARGAN. My personal family history
can be viewed by "clicking here" for my webpage

timeframe, the family was escorted to a home and then taken back
through a field to the cemetery. I would be very interested in
