Covenant of the Poisoned Absinthe FL-011 Domain
Venue: Garou

Of Wolf and Man is the name of the game. Walk the city streets and the wooded by-ways of Gainesville. Seek out what you have become, what you have lost, become something more. The World of Darkness awaits, howl if you need any help, and you will howl....

VST: Matthew Peacock, MattPeacock20@yahoo.com

Place/Time:
Game will be held on the University of Florida campus. Date and directions can be given upon request of any of the members listed under Contact or by membership to the SE-Region White Wolf list. The games will be held once a month at the start and moving to perhaps twice a month TBA. The games will be held either at night or during the day. There is no admission fee. Proper identification of current membership in the Camarilla required.

Theme:
It was once said that the children are our future. It was also said that youth is wasted on the young. A child is born, tears fall to the floor, an old man dies, but just beyond the fringe barrier lays the mirror realm. The Umbra the spirit realm, home to things long forgotten, and things better left never seen. Back on Earth the children of the Garou nation fight to make a name for them-selves. They fight each other, their elders, and things they know not what of yet. The Weaver's sharp metal claws dig at their hearts and minds, but behind such a placid disguise lies something no man woman or child should see....We dare you to look....The world in which you will be placed will fully challenge your mind and your senses. The roller coaster ride of life as a part of the Garou nation will allow you to explore a part of your own humanity that you never knew was inside you, and we will also show you the darkness that creeps at every man, woman and child's thoughts and dreams.

Ranks & Renown:
The only ranks that I will allow into my game are those of non-changer, Cub, Cliath, and fostern. This will only last for a few months as I allow my players to become acclimated to the game and find their place in the nation. If PC's wish to interact with other PC's this is fully allowed and encouraged. I am doing this for game balance reasons. All Camarilla members are welcome, but the VST is the final say in what enters this venue.

Proxy:
Proxy rules for this Venue can be found in Chapter 1 of Prime. All Proxy must be cleared through the VST at least 48 hours before the arrival of your PC. NO PROXY'S will be allowed at games without 48-hour notice and VST approval, case by case basis. In rare circumstances, Proxy'd PC's be allowed to interact at sanctioned games. Otherwise Down Time will be the only time Proxy's interact with player characters due to time consumption and a list of other issues.

The Plots:
My games have been described as large roller coasters that leaves you on the edge of your seat screaming for more. (No really, this was said to me just before I sat down to type this.) The plots will be wide ranging. They could be anything from what you did last night, to having to deal with dead family members. The main vocus of the game is to allow you to place yourself in the position of a Garou, and interact with the different Archetypes that such a game allows.

Spirits you will encounter:
Depending on what area of the landscape you are in you may find spirits that are appropriate for that area. Leaving room of course to allow for diversions in nature for plot lines. I will not under any circumstances make things easy for the players. You will not see Blood Banes around a Vampire, this is key. Anything extremely wonky as far as spirits are concerned are left up to the ST on hands decision.

Caren:
Look and you might find it. Then again, you might not..This will be plot of the game and not placed in the VSS. Find out when you make a PC.

Antagonists:
Wild, Weaver, Wyrm....Fomori...BSD's...Tribes...Metis...other Bete...your own dreams, your own skin for that matter. Define Antagonists. or wait. let's start game and we'll find out together.

Entering the Game:
Entrance into the game will be granted after the VST has approved your character sheet, background, XP log, and item cards. Please ensure all are signed and dated by your VST. Please note to the VST any approval items and their item action numbers. When this process has been completed you will be ready for Opening Howl. Attendance to Opening Howl is important. Here the VST will set the mood and story with downtime information. The IC newsletter will be in a central location. One hard copy will be available for the players. Please do not remove it from its location. Also other news that the general players might need to know in mass will be passed on during the Opening Howl. Any missed information will be your own fault, not the ST's or CC staffs.

"IMPORTANT" if you have a power on your character sheet that is not in Laws of the Wild, Dark Epics, or 6.0 rules listings you MUST bring a write up of that power with you to the game, or the book the write up is detailed in.

Example: Joe has a Stargazer approved by the RST staff. Joe wants to go to a CoPA Garou game tomorrow and wonders if the VST has a write up for his PC's powers. To be on the safe side he brings a copy of his PC's gifts and anything special it might have to the game so that the VST may call on him to show him the write ups. The VST is appeased, the game runs smoother and everyone has more fun at the game. And that's a good thing. =)

Player Etiquette:
Our game will encourage "total immersion role-play," which means staying in character in all in-character areas. If you need to drop out of character to get the help of the VST or narrator, be ready for the ST when you approach the ST and find a spot in a designated area. This will cut down on out-of-play time and ST monopolizing so that everything runs smoothly. Display crossed fingers to indicate "out-of-character." Excessive OOC conversation in IC areas will be punished with the lowering of XP for the night. Unless you're dropping OOC was for a description of what your PC is doing or looks like.

Narrators:
Sometimes during the event things might become too large for myself to handle alone. At this point I, or my AVST, will appoint on the spot narrators. These people should be given the same respect as the VST staff. If there is a problem with the rules call, calm heads are to be kept and patience is to be virtued. Ask a member of the VST staff to clarify the rule.
