Detailed Chapter Report for 10-01-98

This month has been quite busy. During the beginning of the month, Hans Belanger, former CST had
broken many rules in the Code of Conduct. I suspended him for 30 calander days, with no prestige
revocation, and he quit the Camarilla. The e-mail I sent is as follows:

ubj:	Member Suspension
Date:	10/10/98
To:	glas@scsn.net
CC:	methuse@gate.net, g0thb0y@usa.net
CC:	heather@gate.net, jcisnusf@MagicNet.net
CC:	Malkav@gate.net

[First, those listed are: Glas Durboraw SERC, Heather Prichett SERST, Jeff Cisneros SEARST,
Hans Belanger CST, Peter Carr ACST Kindred, and Brent Cerrato ACST Garou]

To all involved:

First, I have spent a week thinking this over, and talking with other officers involved within
the chapter and some within the region. I have consulted the Tome, and have come to a decision.

As per the Tome of the Camarilla page 17, the following rules in the Code of Conduct have been
broken:

1. Be Courteous and cordial, solve problems, don't create them.

There was a dispute over the out of character webpage, as when requirements could not be met, and
was told that it would be handled by the coordinators, Hans "refused" to allow us to relieve him
of the page. Coordinators are responsible for PR, not storytellers. This was the first
incident. Finally resolution was brought about by Brent Cerrato, and it was thought to be
solved, I received an e-mail accusing me of fraud and theft. This again, brought up the issue.
Conflict resolution was attempted, but was refused by Hans. Numerous phone calls and e-mails
have been sent, with either no response, or the phone being slammed down in my ear.

2. Members will not, in reality, threaten others while participating in a Camarilla event.

As I think that officer issues and discussions and such, pertain to "Camarilla events". As I
have received e-mail over the above issue stating "if you do not change it, it will not be
pleasant." This is a threat towards a camarilla officer and member.

I also, have been blamed that this is Melissa ranting through me. I will state, it is not. She
has completely turned the issue over to me, and will not discuss it with me personally. She has
spoken with Brent, or I myself have spoken with him for his thoughts upon it, not between the two
of us.

Upon the refusal to discuss the issues, making slanderous, derogatory e-mail, and rude phone
calls, not to mention being told by him, his actions are justified as he is taking medication
prescribed by a doctor, I feel Hans Belanger needs to take a little time to recuperate, and
rethink his actions. In no way are these good examples of how an officer should act, nor are
they justified in any way.

Starting Sunday, October 11, 1998, Hans Belanger will be suspended for a period of 30 days, with
no prestige revocation. His duties will fall upon Brent Cerrato and Peter Carr, whom are his
ACST's until November 9, 1998, when Hans will be able to resume his duties fully, if he so
wishes.

I am not happy to be doing this, but after much consideration, and speaking with other officers
in the chapter, minus the ACC, I am. Sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Excuse ME PLEASE,
I have this thing with being treated like a human. Dunno maybe I am shooting high. Any Way I
have to clear the air before the Shit hits the fan and all you rumor mongers will be shot before
you can shoot.

I am- have quit the CAM. I was going to wait until our next Sanctioned Game to announce it. But
it seems that my CC has deemed it necessary to suspend me. That is fine. So here we go.

There is something going on that I hate Jake Rush. Untrue. I do not know how it all started. I
just was not on his side in his eyes one day. I dunno, I always liked him. Something about me
slandering Jeff C. Untrue. Sure he is silly ;p

Now if anyone else thinks I am talking behind his or her backs, I am not. If you think I am or
was come to me first.

Now we get to Del Smith and Melissa Hemmen. I did not want to join the Cam to begin with. I had
been happy STing Troupe games and playing it my way. They convinced me. They asked me to be their
ST. Not the other way around. Del at the beginning intentional or not mislead me on how to be a
ST for the CAM. It took me some time just to get the rules down from all of you that told me
what I could or could not do.

Then I began to hear whispers rise from the shadows. Del was talking shit about me. I knew it. I
know all of you who think I am some kind of idiot or ass hole. I have been lied to and ignored
and shit on by enough people. I was going to put up with this city CC and Acc. I was going to
let it all slide and just play the game. I was fine with letting people think I was dumb. I know
what is been said.

Then the ordeal with Jake and more of Del's words came back to me. I began to feel quite
unwelcome.

Before I go on please know that I am not leaving the CAM because of anyone.

So here I am. I can bite my tongue or tell everyone off.
Well I decided not to hold back.
I worked an entire week on a Chapter Web site-- I won’t go there I am over it.
So I had been doing a lot of thinking.
I recently turned 23, I am looking to go to school, and I have been spending way too much time
with my hobbies. And my hobbies were giving me grief. So I am now going to concentrate more on
other things and look forward to STing a Convention or two. Possibly breathe a little.

I think a lot of you are far to caught up in this. It is fun it is. But it should in no way be a
way to live. You should not be pissed off when a sheet of paper is torn in half. You should have
a life outside of 4-5hr every week or so.

Sigh

Most anything you hear about me is probably a lie. I tried. I did. Oh well.

I might join the CAM, in a few months or in a year possibly more. I did enjoy my time and I hope
my story in the Hands of the ST's I leave it in turns out well.

IF the President of the Club is Reading this, you might want to rethink how this thing is run.

I am in no way denouncing the CAM. I just have XP in how roomers go around and am putting this
out. I am writing this in a rush and am not reading over it so if I have repeated my self I am
sorry.

Thank you for your time,
Hans A.W. Belanger

As a new storyteller needed to be voted in, a meeting was held on October 15th, and Peter Carr
was voted in.

As the Coordinator work has been overbearing for us, I elected a ACC Outreach. This would be
Brent Cerrato. He now is handeling the newsletter for the chapter, and collected this months
prestige. He is learning to file the reports, and the powers of the office.

We have started the website for the regional ball being held on Januaury 9th. It was published
in this months requiem, but I will have to make an announcement to the URL: change.

The new chapter website is being maintained by myself (Del Smith), and can be located at
http://members.tripod.com/~PoisonedAbsinthe/VerdigrisWings.html

We have sold, so far, $170 in tickets for the ball, and are expecting more, as many have
inquired about it, but not yet send the money.

That’s about it. See you next month!
