Disaster Recovery

Capabilities  Key Benefits  Experience

VGS, Inc. will aid management in defining all critical applications and assist your organization in creating a disaster recovery management team.   Disaster recovery is an organization-wide concern and is not confined strictly to the IT department.  All business units must be included in the plan for a successful recovery to full operating status.

A preliminary risk analysis is performed to identify business critical applications and functions.  Once those functions have been identified and documented, we prepare a structured approach to disaster recovery for your organization.

Through one-on-one interviews with our CISSP certified consultants and your organization's key people, we assist you in analyzing potential "gaps" in a department's ability to recover in the event of a disaster.  A final written report will detail those "gaps" and suggest options to avoid a disruption in the event of any disaster.

In many cases, potential threats can be identified and preventative steps, policies and procedures put into place to prevent or minimize those known threats.

Experience has shown that the teams approach to disaster recovery is the most efficient and productive means to recover to normal business operations.  History shows that organizations which do not recover in a timely manner, soon fail and go out of business.   We institute and define each team's duties and responsibilities, integrate all teams into an organizational team, and establish an organization-wide training program.

All tasks are detailed in a project plan and that project plan will be securely located on this web site for all authorized team members to view.   In this manner, we maintain the best communications possible in order to complete the project on time and within budget.
