Nursery is available Sundays, 9:30 am until worship is over and the child is picked up. It is also available during special worship services- Ash Wednesday, Christmas Eve. The nursery is staffed by loving and caring paid staff and volunteers.

What to Bring
When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following:
●two or three disposable diapers (no cloth diapers, please)
          ● a complete change of clothes
          ● bottle milk, formula, juice or water

Please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name before arriving. This helps us keep track of your child’s item.

When You Arrive At the Nursery

A Nursery leader will meet you at the door to receive your child, diaper bag and any other necessary items. Sign in your child on the sign-in sheets provided. If this is your first visit, please register your child by filling out the registration card. This helps us provide loving care for your child.

After you have completed the check-in process, simply wave a quick goodbye and leave for worship or a class of your choice. There is a class for parents of young children upstairs in the parlor. As you know, it is normal for little ones to cry when a parent leaves. This does not last long, and separation becomes easier over time. Our leaders will immediately create interest in a toy or activity and give assurance that you will return. If your child cries for an extended period of time, we will page you.

Pick-up Procedures

Please make sure that all your child’s personal items have been returned to you before you leave the premises. Lost and found items will be retained for a short time. Items not claimed are donated to Paducah Cooperative Ministry or Family Services.

Please sign-out your child. Only the person who checked the child in may pick up the child unless indicated differently when you sign-in the child.

Upcoming Events

The Early Church and the Reformation
Paul spread the New Covenant message to people throughout Asia Minor and southern Europe and established many churches. He used many different symbols to help both Jews and Gentiles see the true meaning of the new covenant. The symbols can still enrich our understanding of how God want us to live today. One way the covenant is expressed is the institution of the Church.

April 6    Paul and the Early Church
The children will explore and experience the early church through drama.

April 13    Body of Christ
Through games the children will see how the games are connected to Paul’s vision of the church as the Body of Christ.

April 20 Martin Luther and the Reformation
Our congregational and denominational identities are rooted in the initial action by Martin Luther that called into question the practices of the Roman Catholic Church. Martin Luther will be introduced to the children through drama.

April 27 Martin Luther
Through games the children will learn the events that began the Reformation movement.

May 4 Faith Today
Creating a “Family Tree” of the Church in relation to the family denominational associations will help the children learn how European churches became the denominations that we know today; where the different Christian denominations are in our area; and about the dynamics of the world-wide church today.

Senior High   9th -12 Grades

The lessons of this quarter wrestle with two questions – What does it mean to say Jesus was fully divine as well as human? And what does it mean to say Jesus was fully human as well as divine? And then how do these two concepts define the mystery of the incarnation. They will use the faith statements and scripture to explore these concepts. >
